How does one successfully sell a product they don't use?

I remember a good friend of my mom's that sold Avon and she would come to our house.  My mom would let me play with the tiny lipstick samples.  That's what started my love for makeup!   Years ago -could be decades ago - I had an eyeshadow palette from Avon that always got me compliments when I wore it.  It was a gray eyeshadow quad.  The only thing I used to buy a lot of was the cream eye makeup remover.   My DD and I LOVED that eye makeup remover.  Avon would sell it for $1.00 close to the holidays and I would buy enough for DD and I to last a year.

@monicakm I know it's the LG Corporation from Korea, as in the appliances. I was surprised to hear that. But that's who owns them. Once they purchased the company, it took on a whole new revolution.

Gosh, I haven’t purchased Avon products in decades! Did not know they still went into homes. Thought they were just online.

Originally LG stood for Lucky Goldstar. 

For Goldstar.  A low end appliance company. 

I remember for my 16th birthday, my parents bought me a stereo system.  My dad had it on a timer to go off at about 9 o'clock on the morning of my birthday....  To wake me up....  As a surprise. 

I was so bummed it was a Goldstar.  (Junk!)  My brothers and sisters all had Fisher and Harman Kardon systems (they'd bought themselves).  Of course I never said anything.  But every time I see LG I think of that morning.  And the song Jive Talking (ughhhh).

Boy, I digressed, haven't I?
