Regarding a Mally order. Isn't the point of having auto delivery so that you can have it pre-ordered and have it not be back ordered? What is the point of releasing my shipment, charging my card and then putting my order on back order all the same day? The charge is still frozen on my account and there is nothing that has been shipped. The card is supposed to be charged on shipping not before.

It's a pending charge. It will fall off in a few days and then will be charged when it ships.

Yes, your card is NOT supposed to be charged until shipment, so it is not right to have it being held against your account.  My A D of her TSV went to backorder and then was cancelled.  What is the point of having an auto delivery if it is cancelled?  They already know what they are supposed to produce.

Yes, it is a pending charge for an item that was immediately placed on back order after it was "released" from auto delivery.  There should be no charge, pending or otherwise until right before an item ships. Charges hit my account for everything I order from QVC immediately after an order is placed. Most of the time they still don't ship anything out for an average of 4 days or more and the charge is "pending" until it is shipped.

The charge was finally released after one week.

I have never done autopay. I don't want to get started with that:-) I buy when I need and can afford, I think autopay would get me in trouble lol

Autopay and auto-delivery is not the same thing.  OP was speaking of auto delivery of products, not auto pay. Many people like auto delivery because they get a new set of products and colors in each new auto delivery. Or people like to get items they use regularly on auto delivery (and it locks in a good price) so that they don't run out of their favorites.
