Re: August Scents and Common Sense

Thank you for the welcome, Desi. Let's keep your thread alive. What do you ladies usually discuss? That is, anything in particular? I hope you all have a great Sunday.

Re: August Scents and Common Sense

KatCat, my pleasure, hope you will be a regular here now. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

We started mostly discussing PSS dupes, perfumes, and make-up QVC stuff. We also discuss pets, family, whatever. Kind of ran out of steam on the dupes since we all tried most all the ones we were interested in. So, unless someone had a question about scents, there wasn't much new to discuss.

Re: August Scents and Common Sense

Jo Malone has a new scent "wood sage & sea salt." It's under "woody' in her collections. Her small bottles are now $60 (she raised her prices). Eau de perfumes, colognes, etc. prices are really up in price so I only splurge once in a while. One thing I have found that lasts a lot longer than spray fragrance is body lotion or butter. In most cases it does cost less. I really like Gud body lotion which is in the drugstore or at Target. There are several scents and it's very moisturizing to the skin. It's runs around $6.99 depending on the area of the country you live in.

Re: August Scents and Common Sense

Desi,Sure hope you are feeling better by now, what a summer huh, went and we didn't do a thing or get anything done we had planned.

Katcat, welcome, WOW, a flight of stairs, can only imagine how you felt or feel. I will have to try that Neutrogena pore cleanser, so far using Aveeno Positively Radiant cleanser.

As Desi said, a lot of use get the dupes of colognes etc from PSS and my DH likes her almond coconut as do most men I found out. I get it in her 4 ounce room/linen/body spray because it isn't so strong, perfect I have found for almost all of her scents and if they are a weaker scent to start with I have her add 1 or 2 extra shots of scent, perfect. Her almond coconut doesn't need an extra shot.

A nurse said she loves the newer L'Oreal Blur foundation, pump bottle and says he makes her skin look and feel great. She does have a nice complexion but don't know if that is the foundation or her skin to start with. So far I am only using the newer Mally, sponge one but use my Real Techniques expert face brush with it although if a heavier spot needs it the sponge that comes with it works great for applying more foundation and her small brush that comes with it is good for smaller areas too.

Re: August Scents and Common Sense

Laylla, same thing happened to me, computer crashed and I needed a new hard drive so, lost everything BUT thank goodness this time I had my click free with all my recipes on. When my other computer went I lost 100% of everything, didn't have a back up and is when QVC had a click free as a TSV so I picked it up, lucky I did too so, know how you feel, still didn't get all my recipes back from the first time.

Jan and Laylla thanks for thinking of me, appreciate it a lot.

Re: August Scents and Common Sense

Hi all, great weather today.

KatCat, haven't sniffed any Jo Malone either. Guess if Ulta doesn't carry a line I am outta luck since I hate the mall dept. stores. Not a body butter girl either but I agree that's a great way to get a less pricey version of a scent.

Doglover, I would tell the VN that you can't do it - probably too late now. You aren't a nurse! She has training and experience and I don't think it's fair to dump this on you. Does this also mean you are now in charge of all DH's PT? I would be on the phone with your insurance co. tomorrow, but that's me. No wonder you have a migraine!

Witches of East End on shortly (Laylla, lol) I watch it too but it's sort of violent IMO.

Re: August Scents and Common Sense

Doglover,

I agree with Desi, completely!! They are shoving their job off on you! All of this is bringing back my PICC line days back in Feb. I went to the infusion center everyday twice for antibiotic bags and flushing and all of that. It is all too dangerous. The PICC line goes directly into your heart!! They shouldn't have you doing this. Is it coming out permanently on Friday????

Worries me!!
