I do not have gray hair. I have white shiny hair that is slowly taking over my naturally dark brown hair. I have tried dyeing my hair in the past but it does not cover the white hair. It just slides off the hair. I have given up coloring my hair. People compliment my hair. They think the white hair highlights are intentional.

I stopped any hair coloring in 2012--due to breast cancer---when my hair grew back it came in a very delightful shade of light-med brown with grey streaks at very stategic places, almost liike I was highlighting my hair again--and it looks great---I am 68 now and it still looks like I spent alot of $$ to get it that way. So, I am leaving it alone----the cost to keep up hair coloring, for me , is so ridiculous --my SIL spends $150 on the color, plus $ the cut, every 6-8 weeks---dang!!!
