I must be the strange one - tried 2 different collagen powders at 2 different times and after a few days, maybe a week, of using, I have never in my life felt such knee pain.  Holy cow it was bad.  Stopped doing the collagen powder and knee pain went away within a day.  Won't go near the stuff again.

I totally understand.
When I took Amadean Marine protein, I was fine.
Last year, I switched to Vital Proteins, and I've been a basket case.
My KNEES got "out of whack" again.
I can't walk well.
I'm thinking I need a protein powder with Hyaluronic acid in it ... if there is such a thing.

@RinaRina  - Tried a marine collagen powder from Andrew Lessman and Vital Proteins, both did not work for me.  As I said, the knee pain was unbelievable, stopped using the powders and within a day my knees were better.  Collagen powders are not for me, I guess.

@JudyL and @RinaRina  There are many different collagen powders out there and all are not the same.  They contain different ingredients, come from different sources, different potencies, etc.  I believe (but could be wrong) that hydrolyzed type II is best for joints.  But I can understand your skepticism.  You may want to try a good quality organic bone broth with collagen and see if works better.

My favorite collagen is Andrew Lessman's Marine Collagen Peptides!

The bad thing about tilapia is the flesh of the fish where it contains bad omega fat (omega-6). Collagen supps do not contain fats. Collagen supps are 100% protein. Tilapia bones/scales are processed and collagen is extracted from those parts of the fish, not from the flesh. There shouldn't be a problem with the bones and scales since they are prossessed and purified to make collagen powder.

I just feel if I dont need to buy a product with tilapia of any kind, why bother ? so many fine collagen mfg use wild caught fish like cod and salmon, so why not buy one which contains fish that I dont mind ingesting. I eat cod and salmon all the time.

@Pecky

I think it's fine if you want some additional ingredients..."Metabolism Support Blend".
