Argon or Moroccan oil

Just an FYI. I was getting my hair cut this morning and was discussing with my hairdresser that this cold winter and a recent surgery has resulted in my hair being very dry. limp, and dull. Was asking her if Argon or Moroccan oil would be good for it. She replied that they would not be for my hair. The reason? - I have grey hair and the color of the oil would yellow it. I had a similar problem a couple of years ago when I use Fredrick Fekar's glossing products, which are yellow. My hair absorbed the color and it took a very long time to grow out. My hairdresser cautioned me about using any product that had color to it.
