Anyone that already has the Tarte TSV, medium or tan? Help Please?

I have both in my cart medium and tan. Can anyone tell me how forgiving is this foundation if you already have this TSV. I'm hoping the tan will give color but afraid the medium will be too light. I'm light olive Italian complextion. I use medium in other products but I read that these shades run light. anyone?
