It seems that no matter which foundation I use (high-end, drugstore, liquid, powder, BB, CC), and no matter what I use under or over the foundation (different primers and/or setting sprays) - my foundation is always "rubbed off" in the area where my sunglasses sit.
I look ridiculous with these half moons of bare skin on my cheeks! I've tried everything I can think of to prevent this from happening, but no combination of the above has solved the problem. Does this happen to anyone else? Can someone give me any tips to prevent this from happening?

Yes! I don't have a solution, just commiseration.

I thought maybe it was just ""my"" problem because I have really high cheekbones - maybe it's actually because of how the sunglasses fit on my face(?) I never notice this on other women (the half moons).

I have the same problem - it is bad over the summer because my sunglasses also expose the redness on the bridge of my nose

Yes, this too! I don't mind that as much as my cheeks, though, because it's not as glaringly obvious as the half-moons! I have a lot of redness on my cheeks, which looks ridiculous when it peeks out through the half-moons where my foundation has rubbed off!

I use a primer and setting powder so my foundation does not come off. It just might be that particular foundation you are using. Could be??

I wish it were that simple, lol, but I have a full wardrobe of different foundations, primers, and setting sprays - and my makeup rubs off no matter what I'm wearing.

How much....foundation does one NEED to where to have it wear off like that?

I'm not sure what you mean? I wear foundation to cover my redness and sun damage - so of course, these things will peek through when my foundation wears off. Why else would one wear foundation but for coverage? Am I misunderstanding your question?

This used to happen to me, but have noticed since switching recently to Guerlain Lingerie de Peau foundation, it's not happening. However, if you like your foundation, just take a little something to touch up with. Primping is fun unless you are pressed for time. ![]()
