Sueeich -- Boy, did your post bring back memories.  I, too, used Laszlo exclusively back in the day -- when you still got "clocked," you couldn't buy products without presenting your membership card, you got periodic skin evaluations from the Laszlo rep, etc. I was influenced by the celebrity women who used Laszlo at the time, mainly Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe (there was even a bottle of some Laszlo product on Monroe's nightstand in photos taken after her death).

Like you, I had extremely oily/acne prone skin;  I was clocked at a 3:30 (the usual clock ended at 3).   I had just graduated from college and started my working life, and I had to save like crazy to be able to afford the products.  But -- Laszlo left me with absolutely beautifu skin.  It was a miracle.

But as you probably remember, something happened (sale of company??? I don't know) and the Laszlo line became smaller in the stores and products increasingly harder to find.  Eventually I just gave up.  Haven't found anything as good.

I agree with you that the line isn't the same today.  They have a lot of strange products now, and many of the core products are gone.  I don't know who owns it.  Wish I could advise you, but I'm at a loss.  I guess I just wanted to reply to your post and commiserate with you.  If you decide to pursue this and find out anything positive, would love to know.  Good luck.

I think I was clocked at a 3, too!  My skin was so oily when I was in my teens and early 20's.  And, at the age of 54, my skin is still oily; nowhere near the way it was 30 years ago but I still battle with oiliness.  But after a short period of time using Laszlo, my skin just absolutely transformed.  And I've never had that experience with any other line of skincare.

Re: Anybody still use Erno Laszlo or Janet Sartin skincare?

I am old.  I have very oily VERY sensitive skin.  Even a dermatologist said I have VERY sensitive skin.

I have in the last few months gone to washing my face with either Dove soap for sensitive skin or CeraVe.  I have pretty much quit anything else and my skin looks great.

Some days if I am dry, I'll use some very simple NOT anti-aging product simply for moisture.  I do use a serum, either Trish McEvoy or Estee Lauder.  And usually that is all.

For me, I'm far better off without the junk.  And for my age I have great skin.  As long as I don't put stuff on it that makes me break out, turn red, or peel.

Re: Anybody still use Erno Laszlo or Janet Sartin skincare?

I have used a combination of Sartin and Laszlo for 35 years! I used to be slightly oily but now I am dry so my range of products has completely changed. Now I use Superfatted cream and soap which I love. The shake-it bases from both lines are the only foundation finishes I use. At Sartin the Color Veil is the easiest concealer for under eye and upper lip lines. Laszlo used to have the best powders but have been discontinued. I met Janet Sartin in 1985. She was in her 70's and her skin was beautiful! The proof is in the pudding! She asked me if I was using the whole line and I said no, and she asked why not? Haha

Re: Anybody still use Erno Laszlo or Janet Sartin skincare?

My sister in law who is in her late 60's uses Erno Laszlo and Mary Kay skincare and has gorgeous skin! I remember her using the Erno line back in the 70's when she and my brother were dating and being so intrigued with that black soap! lol!!!

She still using some of the products along with MaryKay and has really great skin, so something's working for her!

I asked for the Laszlo collection for Christmas one year!  My skin had been acting up..I was in my early twenties! My MIL took me to a high end store and got me the collection! My skin looked amazing...no more oil...my skin was clear! Would love to use it again..I'm in my sixties now..my skin tends to be dry now. Thanks for the memories!!!Heart

Re: Anybody still use Erno Laszlo or Janet Sartin skincare?

About 40 years ago I purchased a started kit of Laszlo. I think it was about $175. I loved it, but I couldn't afford to keep usingi the product. So I went back to my Clinique. I have very oily skin.
