On 1/25/2014 BRANDONLEE said:I'm going to say many here probably have nice skin just by reading posts. But someone as myself who has some miner acne scarring on the cheeks it really is awful.Just wanted to know who else here struggles? And yes i have tried many things including fillers, microdermabrasion, smoothbeam.Although i will not do lasers because i have researched and not many had good results and plus very expensive. So just curious.Again its not that bad but it bothers me.THANX
Most of the folks on this board who make claims of having gra few great complexions (including myself) didn't get there by genetic factors alone. Speaking for myself, it took years of putting together a skincare regimen which controlled this acne-prone, extra oily, sensitive complexion.
Brandonlee, you will have to go through a similar process to find something which clicks for your complexion and gives you the results you find satisfactory. Always bear in mind what works for one person could be disastrous for the next. You describe your acne scarring as minor yet none of the quite elaborate treatments you have tried seem to have worked. I'm assume you had these treatments at a spa or salon (offering skincare) by an esthetician. I won't offer anything suggesting you may benefit from seeing a dermatologist a few times. Working with a doctor you can take your over the counter products in for review as you work toward putting together a treatment regimen for your concerns.

I think my skin is as good as it can be right now.
Like others, I have been through tons of products, and years of hit and miss.
How old are you? Have you seen a dermalogist?
Don't obsess and overwork your skin. That can make things worse.

Well, count me in as not having Perfect Skin! I am soon to be 57 and I have oily skin, some fine lines around my eyes, forehead wrinkles, and I have a red area on forehead where I had to have a Basil Cell Carcinoma removed last fall. Along with having Melanoma twice in 2012. But, overall my skin looks pretty good with my make-up, which is my struggle with my foundation! I believe it is true that we are our worse critics! There has been days that I thought my hair looked awful. Then, I would have someone say, Love your hair style.
I do have people at times tell me I do not look my age. GOD BLESS them!!! I do try to take as good a care of my skin as I can.
One thing I have started in the past 2 weeks that I feel has made a difference for me, is, Facial Exercises. I looked some up on the Internet and It has made a difference in the Forehead wrinkles. I am like many others, always on the hunt for the next best thing, at least what I can afford! LOL! Just remember, most of us DO have things that we would like to change, but, things could always be a LOT Worse. Take care and try to think positive and smile!
I have been watching HSN and they are showing the Dermablend make-up. They had 2 ladies, one of color and a young white lady. The lady of color had a severe case of Vitiligo and the young lady had a severe case of Lupas. They used the make-up, which has been around for 30 years, and WOW!! UNBELIEVABLE! May be something for you ladies to check out. The lady said it is for Anyone. Don't know much about this, maybe some of you ladies do. Check out the videos if interested.

Perfect skin is called photoshop and airbrushing!!!! There is no such thing. I have a big nose from breaking it 4 times as a kid and then breaking it after a nose job (not very graceful!) and I have horrible brown spots from second degree burns I suffered on my face and chest when I was 17 and that is what makeup is for. I have beautiful blue eyes and awesome Irish freckles and a great smile.
I have finally (at 46) learned I can cover spots but if someone only sees my big nose and spots on my face and doesn't look further, then they are not someone who is never going to actually see me! So look on cause you aren't going to know whats behind my baby blues!
You are beautiful inside and that shines right on out with our without makeup!!!!
