A few years ago, I used the Pretika Sonic Facial Brush dupe for awhile since I was too cheap to invest in the real deal. I bought the Pretika from drugstore dot com for about $40. Technology wise, I felt it was similar in that it did the micro vibration thing rather than spin. It held the charge for a long time and initially I thought I was on to something. It really cleansed my skin well and provided some exfoliation benefits. After using it awhile, I was reading here on the board about some ladies getting broken capillaries from their Clarisonic. It really struck me because I had been noticing some small broken capillaries on my chin and sides of my nostrils that weren't there before. I concluded that it was probably the Pretika's fault. I ceased using it that day but the damage was done.

Because of my experience, I can't recommend any of these brush type cleansers. However, I do strongly recommend the Foreo Luna. I've been using mine (the Mini) for several months now and LOVE it! It may not be in your price range since you're looking for a less expensive dupe of the Clarisonic, but if you can swing it, the Foreo Mini is available at HSN and does have an installment plan. It's a one piece unit with no upkeep charges as there are no brushes to replace. I really like using it. It's part of my nightly routine and I sometimes use it in the AM, too. Some ladies here have found very inexpensive Foreos (several believe it's the real thing and others believe they're cheap imitations) through an online source called dhgate. They've reported buying a Foreo for around $17-$20. If I remember correctly, they've all liked the performance, but the charge didn't last long. If you don't mind recharging regularly, that might be an option for you too.
