Weeks?! Anytime something crops up that's unusual, and certainly is growing over WEEKS you need to get to a doctor. I would've at least gone to urgent care after a few days.

There must be going some thing going around with these rashes. I know of 6 different people who have some kind of a rash on their body and none of them associate with each other. One of them does have one on her upper leg and she got a prescription for a salve. But it is really driving her crazy for it is cracking her skin. Someone else has one from her shoulder all the way down her side of her body. Even the doctor has said he does not know what it is causing it. Good luck to you finding out what is causing it. I know for me I think I am allergic to elastic and that is causing me some problems.

Oh, puleez.
OP, if I'd make an appt with either your primary physician or a derm if this continues.
You need to read dear, seriously educate yourself, you clearly are extremely under informed.

You bet there is, its called the body doesnt appreciate the junk being put in the food system and YES, most Dr's have no clue on how to treat it. You are going to see more and more of this and I strongly recommend going organic as much as possible with foods and product.
Also, pesticides are put into cotton now so clothing can cause this as well.

It sounds like an allergic reaction, and if it starts getting it*hy, or spreads after eliminating anything new that you may have changed recently, I would definetelly (sp?) see your doctor. Speaking as a psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis sufferer. Yes, those immunosuppressant are awful, but without them I would be much worse off, both in advancement of my disease and pain that cannot be understood unless you suffer with these diseases too.
I agree with Homebody. See a doctor, but you'll have to play Sherlock Holmes and if it's where your clothing touches your body, it could be either your detergent or fabric softener. I remember some years ago I tried a new detergent. First thing I did was hand wash a pair of socks. Rinsed the socks thoroughly, however, I wound up with a rash on my hands and on my feet after I wore the socks. Tossed the socks and new detergent and I got back to normal.

I agree that it could be an allergy--perhaps a reaction to a detergent or body lotion, etc--or related to GMOs or something else you may have eaten. You can think back to what has changed since you started having this rash, and maybe you will find the answer.
However, it sounds like you need to see your primary doctor and probably an allergist to get to the root of the problem before it gets completely out of control.

I was wondering about laundry detergent also. A few years back I used Tide with Downey for my bedding & broke out with a rash overnight. It was everywhere the sheets had touched me. When I called the company, she said, "let me transfer you to our medical department" so apparently I was not the first.
Unfortunately, we can develop an allergy to something we've used or have eaten for years & it can be very hard to pinpoint.
Personally, I would get to my doctor. A rash wouldn't concern me as much as the welts. You don't want to end up having your throat close up on you. I had that happen from penicillin. Very scary!

If I were you, I'd see a VERY GOOD dermatologist. They may take a skin biopsy, and be able to tell if it's a reaction to something your taking, or a medical condition. Meantime, switch to ALL free and clear detergent, no fabric softner, and maybe Cerave body cream, and cleanser. Dove, may be o.k. I'm a long-time rash sufferer, and now being observed at Mayo Clinic, to rule out anything serious. Seems my biopsies are showing a drug reaction. So, I'm off everything, including vitamins. I learned the hard way...no rash is to be taken lightly...please get some help!

I don't do "junk" science. You can attribute all ills to GMOs, gluten, cellphones, microwaves, aluminum cookware, or any other popular target of the day to your heart's desire.
The OP should see a professional in the field of medicine for a rash such as described, not listen to fear-mongering and anti-science/medical rants.
As for you skin detox tea and bath salts, by all means, enjoy them. I'm sure they're harmless.

I had the same thing a few months ago & it was driving me nuts because it was very painful & it itched so badly that I was scratching myself raw. I went to a dermatologist who diagnosed me with arthropod insult (bug bites)& told me that I probably had bed bugs or fleas & I was apparently extremely allergic to them. It turned out that I did NOT have bedbugs or fleas.
My next doctor visit was to an allergist, where I was diagnosed with lots of allergies & food sensitivities. I love Garden of Life supplements & have been taking them for years with no ill effects. Based on the allergy testing, it turned out that many of the ones that I was taking had some of my allergens in them. I went through every supplement that I had & returned, gave away, or threw out any that had things that I was allergic to in them. Since I've stopped taking the offending supplements, my flares have been reduced immensely. I also stopped eating foods that I was sensitive or allergic to, or if I do, I take digestive enzymes immediately afterwards.
Edited to add that my diagnosis ended up being chronic urticaria (severe hives)
