I am almost finished with my current sunscreen, Skinn Skinnsurance, and am thinking of trying one with more natural ingredients. I almost ordered the Devita solar spf 30 today but read some reviews on Amazon saying that it peeled under makeup which I would not like at all. The reviews on Vitacost were very good, and I didn't see peeling mentioned. Just curious of your thoughts on this one. I also saw another one on Vitacost that looked appealing. It was called Andalou naturals brightening all in one beauty balm sheer tint spf 30. I liked that this one was tinted.

Re: Any Devita sunscreen users?

I have used the Devita sunblock for face and the one for body for years. I love them. They are moisturizing but not greasy. My skin tends to be oily, so I don't need a lot of moisture.

The sunblock for face dries to a soft matte finish. I have no problems with it balling up under makeup. Perhaps the folks who are having this problem are putting too many layers of product on their face prior to applying the Devita. I have done that once or twice.

Devita sunblock is one of the few things I buy again and again.

I am not familiar with Andalou.

Re: Any Devita sunscreen users?

I've been using it for 6 months and also hesitated when I saw the reviews onAmazon. I bought it anyway and haven't had problems with it balling up. I use a pea sized amount an my whole face. I have oily skin and this goes on matte. I think as long as you apply it thinly you will be fine.

Have you looked at any of the Paula's Choice options? A lot of posters like one that is a slight tint and all physical SPF in the Resist line. I remember it is SPF 30 but can't remember the whole, proper name of it. Just a thought.

Re: Any Devita sunscreen users?

Thanks for your reviews ElvisShops and Oshare-girl. I am glad you are not having any issue with it balling up. I have a 10% off coupon to use from Vitacost and was trying to put an order together to get the free shipping too.

BellaCarro - I have seen the sunscreen you are talking about mentioned on here. I will check out the ingredients and see if it might work for me. Thanks for the recommendation.

I've used Davita, but didn't re-purchase.

I've been using Paula's Choice Resist Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense SPF 30.

I really like this one.

Thanks Kate. I did like the ingredient list on this one. My only concern is that I have dry skin. From the reviews I read, it looks like it works for those with dry skin if they apply a seperate moisturizer underneath.

Re: Any Devita sunscreen users?

I had a bad experience with Devita sunscreen. I actually got a sunburned nose while wearing it. Devita went directly into the trash, and I went back to my tried and true Elta MD SPF 41 sunscreen which is perfect protection, every day, for me. Never, ever had a burn or a tan using Elta so I know it's working.

Thanks for your review. I did read Paula's review for this product on beautypedia and her concern over this sunscreen was about it giving adequate protection. Something she said about FDA requirements and something missing on the label which made her question the formula. Based on your review and what I read on beautypedia, I think I will skip trying this one. I have dark spots that I have worked hard to lighten. I have to have an adequate sunscreen. I may try the Paula's Choice one mentioned by others.

Re: Any Devita sunscreen users?

I, too, have used Devita for years. I have tried so many others, including Paula's Choice and Elta MD. Elta MD is too drying for my face. I do not like the Paula's Choice one. I keep going back to Devita.
