I saw a Dyson on clearance last year with free shipping and drove to local stores to see if anyone had it for less. No one did - QVC beat Target by $100 for the same model and tools and had free shipping and 6 easy pays. Just be smart and don't assume anyone place is better or worse than another - check for each item.

Yes, of course. It takes just minutes to check out prices online. I have saved huge amounts of money that way, and I've learned which companies and B&M stores are consistently superior as far as prices and CS.

So I tend toward the same ones, but I always check around to find the best value. And I'm sure lots of posters here do the same.

Did you read amazon is going to begin one hour delivery for 7.99 and two hour free delivery for prime members in select cities? Holy cow!

Specialty products that you can't find on a vendor website. Not many but I do have a couple on AD because you can't get them on AD on the vendors website. That and Free shipping is only occasional on Amazon. However, I agree wholeheartedly. I use drugstore.com as well. They have some things on Auto ship that the Q has cheaper as you get 10 % off for Auto shipped products.

I only shop QVC for things I can't find any place else. I still check Wal Mart.com and Amazon just to be sure. I have sent emails to QVC about their shipping rates for just one item, and how they should combine shipping when you order more than one item at a time. I have yet to hear back from them about this...

Amazon has a warehouse in LA......and I get stuff (regular shipping) in 2 days (in PHX), but the Q takes quite a while to get here............

I find myself shopping less and less on qvc. Their shipping rates are way too high espicially for a small item like makeup and also having to pay for returns . Also more and more of their product offerings are cult like eg is wen theonly shampoo out their I get much better prices andchoices elseware

I shop around, and while I purchase fewer items from the Q than I did at one time, I still buy when they have exclusive MU items (kit, new color not available elsewhere) or a TSV with a great price.

I must be weird. I focus on return policies. How much of a hassle it is, does it require an RMA #, do they even TAKE returns (if not sold by Amazon, return policy's vary), etc.

If an item at the Q is only off by a few bucks, I will buy at the Q because I just know the return policy so clear. I have never had a problem.

A return problem at Amazon (or ebay) can take weeks to undo.

Return policy/ease of return is also a consideration for me when deciding where to buy a product. If it's a hard to find item...and I KNOW it will work for me...I don't mind using Amazon.

These days I tend to go to B and M to buy makeup when it's the first time I'm going to try something ... so I can smell it for fragrance (can't use if it has fragrance) and to check the color. AFTER I've decided something works for me...I will buy wherever I can get the best shipping price - best total price for an item. And Amazon is not usually the best priced for current to find items.

I do use the Q for some makeup items that either come in a kit w/ a nice promotional price or for items you can't get at B and M stores...like say IT cosmetics. There are a few IT products that I do like.

You can't use a beauty product and return it except on Q. I buy a lot on Amazon if Q doesn't have what I want.

Used beauty products can be returned to Amazon, Sephora, Ulta, Skinstore, beauty.com to name just a few.

Walgreen's also accepts used beauty products........must have your receipt.
