Advice on styling products with wen please HELP!!! And ?? About new pear

I love wen I broke down and decided to try it again in June. I got a TT gallon and various SHP things. My hair dresser can't stop commenting on how great my hair looks!! My problem is I also LOVE my salon products. Mainly my aquage uplifting foam and my Kenra blow dry spray(I love big teased hair). I also like using dry shampoo in between cleansings. Has anyone used regular styling products with wen and still able to get your hair clean? If so what are your tips?(i broke down and bought the TSV in BGT and now thinking about buying the pear, thoughts on the pear??)

It's rare that I use anything other than my WEN products, usually another oil. But one of my cousins uses other products along with her WEN and she has no complaints.

First of all, love your nic! My Black and Tan is curled up in my lap as we speak, lol.

Glad to hear you're getting great results with Wen. I've used Wen exclusively for over two and a half years (on and off prior to that), and I never had a problem with Wen removing any styling products (never used hairspray religiously, but I did use Oscar Blandi dry shampoo fairly often). Just make sure you work the CC into your roots well, add plenty of water to make it "froth" and massage well.

Since you've ordered the TSV in BGT, you'll get to try the Volumizing Treatment Spray.........it's awesome! I add five or six spritzes to my styling cream and work into my wet hair, starting at the ends and working my way up. Then, I spray into my palm and use my fingers to apply directly to my roots for extra volume. It's pretty potent, so I get great volume. I like it better than any other hairspray I've used in the past.

Based on what you have said, you may like the Wen mousse, styling creme, and replenishing mist. The styling creme will protect your hair from the heat of the blow dryer, add hold, and shine. The mousse will add tons of volume to your hair. The replenishing mist can be used to refresh your hair between cleanses. Hope this helps.

I have a long hair dapple his name is Barnaby! I actually just showered used my TT and SHP CC and everything washed out! Yay!! I actually have a finishing spray and I have the SHP styling cream and mousse duo but I use that with firm hold hairspray the days I scrunch my hair. Thinking about ordering the new pear

My daughter used colored hairspray in her hair last year at Halloween. Wen cleansed it all out wonderfully. I would recommend the double cleanse to be sure you get out all of the product.

Use whatever you want!

I use a seasonal CC with a few pumps of 613 to cleanse. I only cleanse once, rinse well---I do not leave a pump's worth in---but I do use one tiny pump of stling cream on wet hair. That's it.

Sometimes, instead of the styling cream, I use Alterna's CC cream or Living Proof PHD to style. Works great. NO RULES.

And SAM and lavender are not universal! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

As some others have mentioned, it comes down to whatever works for your hair. If you like using another product in conjunction with Wen, then go for it! It might take a little experimentation, but you shouldn't have a problem using different products. Smile
