Re: ANY BEAUTY DILEMMAS FOR @Shanus?

@Harpa

Interested in getting to/reading her reply.  I've been applying my blush higher for a couple of years.  I recently started using a contour in the hollows of my cheeks.  Bronzer goes above that and stays towards the back and blush above that.  It's all blended so there are no lines

If I may, your makeup can't look good without a good skincare routine that you stick with.  So skincare, with or without makeup.  And that skincare routine should include lots and LOTS of hydration.  My AM and PM routines contain multiple hydration products.

When I listen to different makeup artists, I get the impression that their point is to use the color on the apples of your cheeks.

My thinking is more [what I consider to be] the "golden rule" about light & dark, and which areas of the face you want to bring forward, and which you want to recede.

Hi,

I was reading reviews on a lip primer (forgot which one) and one poster said that chapstick will do the same thing! What do you think of that? (sure would be cheaper, lol)

Re: ANY BEAUTY DILEMMAS FOR @Shanus?

I always use liner (top only) on the upper waterline in a dark brown or my favorite navy to whiten the eyes.

We do lose definition and liner brings that back. If I do wear liner on the lid itself, it's most often an eye shadow in a greyish/taupe shade. I would think if wearing a mask, the eyes do take center stage and I'd definitely suggest trying the tightlining liner technique. It's more subtle than a line on the lid itself.

That's how I've been lining my eyes for years. I have to recommend Maybelline precision skinny eyeliner pencil tightline with. It stays put and easy to apply. It's only $8 but hard to find in brown. CVS has brown.

Shanus, any recommendations for a navy pencil easy to tightline in navy? Ty

@Judaline   Chapstick is thick and a lip balm, maybe....at best. You certainly will have difficulty putting a lipstick or gloss on top of it.

@Midmod   For many years, my go to navy (and other shades) pencils are Urban Decay 24/7 pencils.
