A Feel Good Day

Let me start out by saying I never get compliments. Today I took my elderly mother to the lab to get her blood drawn, she goes often. The regular woman wasn't there but the fill in is someone I have seen a few times before, and she knows us. Anyway she says to me you look so pretty today, I love your makeup! She asked me what was different, I said nothing. She asked me what kind of makeup I was wearing, and said I looked so pretty again (she is married with a child so she wasn't coming on to me)! Then later in the day I went to Rite Aid and was looking for some hair dye (I just did my hair and it came out very dark, but that's another story). I asked the woman her opinion on several shades and she said she loved the color of my hair and thought the cut was very nice (I hated to tell her I thought I needed a haircut)! So this was a red letter day for me , one that made me feel very good for a change!

Do you really think someone is trying to hook up with you if they compliment you? LOL I have an aunt who talks like that, and it makes me laugh. Seriously, I love it when all the cards line up for the day. Puts a spring in your step for someone to acknowledge your efforts. I also miss taking my mom to her appts. You may not realize it now, but you will miss doing it too someday. I would love to still be looking after her. Happy New Year.

No, that's just my sense of humor! Please, if someone is ever flirting with me I'm the last to know! I know I'm lucky that I still have my mother. You have a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Actually she did ask about my foundation. I was wearing Mally Poreless Perfection Glowing Foundation in Fair. I had Clinique eye shadow on, Nars Blush, and BM lipgloss (I'm not loyal to just one brand)! I guess I must have looked well put together today!
