I will blab on and if anybody wants to ignore this as being O/T its ok... forgive me!

SPED teachers are still in high demand, I believe.  SPED teachers who have higher degrees are more in demand; and teaching at the college level would be great a great career!

Does she plan to teach other college students wanting to major in Education?

There are no "modified" college courses in Texas for SPED students ...

as they say in Texas... we have no remedial classes in high school and there are no "modified" courses in college.

 I am not sure if this is true  in every state.

Our DD, while being quite motivated, majored in "Journalism."  This scared me because I felt unsure that she would be able to get a job with this undergraduate degree.  She did get an internship for a civilian public affairs career after graduation -- WHEW 

Her masters degree was earned while still working as a civilian for  governmental public affairs.  

Education seems to be highly concerned about which degree a person has that holds a degree in such high esteem.  Although a higher-level degree for any career is never detrimental, it seems.  

There are areas of education, however, that contradict this principle.  There are some positions people without teaching experience hold and they pay well at the administration level.  FWIW!

Good Morning, Ladies.  I guess we are having the last hoorah because we will be in the   90's all week.  I am not happy about that as it is humid too.  Get ready east coast because it will probably come your way!

Happy Monday night. Am just heading to bed. Today kinda knocked the stuffin' out of me. nodded off most of the day, but "getting flat" sounds particularly yummy.

Weather has started to turn. Leavs are changing color. Got a long winter coming up. Having said that. the weather for the next 10 days is going to warm and humid. Thank goodness for a/c.

Just think, when we get up another August will be in the books. How does that happen. Sweet dreams everyone.
