It's a marketing ploy to engage women with "spendable cash" to purchase more...

For those who find this campaign engaging, fine for them.

But for those of us who kissed 50 goodbye many years back,

what new wisdom will they impart to us?  Advice like quit your job and "follow your dreams"?  And from a group whose specialty is selling products to look better?  Etc, etc.

Hopefully there will be a time when an independent source like public television will offer women constructive advice on potential medical issues associated with aging, diet and supplements advice, exercise and weight recommendations, and coping mechanisms with typical aging issues - including

discrimimation, assisting aging parents, financial planing, parental issues, etc.

That type of advice will not be offered by a shopping channel, I do believe.

wow @ the spin

find something that works for your agenda and be happy with that

ragging on something because it does not fit your needs or your perception is way beyond lame.  there are folks out there that are not the same as you.  their needs and wants are different. what motivates and encourages them is different.  its not a matter or wrong or right.

share the successes you have found.   post it all over.  rejoice in your joy.  it could help someone who has same likes and needs as you

so dang easy

For those that think this campaign is 'the bees knees', lol, what about it exactly is it that you think is so great?  Really, can anyone explain what this whole campaign is/means?  I don't think so.  It's a vague try to gain more customers by what?  Just pitching the same old products.  lololol  Some people will be sucked into anything.  I'm not that gullible about anything, get my drift?

Agree.

My takeaway from things like this is definitely more positive than most of these comments. I'm 67 and feel invisible to companies. They assume I don't want to be the best I can be at my age and therefore do not market many products to me. I refuse to let myself go away. I am eating healthier than ever, going to the gym 3X/week, softening my makeup, and wearing fashionable clothes. It is not for everyone and that is okay. It is my personal choice and decision. I think programs like this one promote over 50 women being powerful, active, etc. Yes, they are selling product. That is what QVC does, but I like this new trend I am seeing in many places. Seeing women taking charge of their lives no matter their age is very inspiring to me.

Re: 50 Is The Age of Possibility

None of the fab 50 live my lifestyle & do not have typical careers; I’d not identify with any of them. I’m well beyond 50 & retired. I fought the glass ceiling & broke thru it. No advice from QVC or any commercial organization can help someone. Hard work, education & mentorship did it for me. I had a wonderful career.

Re: 50 Is The Age of Possibility

I think it's a way to attract the 50-somethings in Gen-X. After all, the Boomers are on their way out, they have everything they need by now and so the Q needs a new set of shoppers. Millennials aren't interested.

@TheMemphisVette Excuse me, but isn't this post doing this:  ragging on something because it does not fit your needs or your perception is way beyond lame?
