When you're lipstick challenged, as in have trouble finding a color you like on you, and you find that color and formulation you like, I'd say it's worth it.  

 

I have a favorite Dior shade and it has been discontinued.  I don't remember what I paid for it, but I made sure to get one when I found out it was discontinued.

I'd buy it if it worked perfectly for me.  

 

Lately, I have been buying tinted lip balm type of products instead of lipsticks.
