First of all, I thought that Dr. Macrene was so charming and endearing. She truly seemed so excited (and a little nervous?) to be presenting her product on QVC.

Secondly, my ears perked up at the "just one cream does it all" claim. I use so many products on my face now, the very thought of paring down to one produt just made me think "Ahhh, what a relief!

I went to her site, she sells this, a cleanser and an eye cream. If she sold more I'd be suspect.

I'm currently looking for reviews but not that many. Here's one: (You'll have to cut and paste.)

I was relieved when it sold out :-). Anyone else tempted to give it a try? Anyone order it?

Yes, this line is very appealing. I always like the CEW products that I've tried in the past. I think it's a great program, and offers options for drug store brand/pricing as well as new, cutting edge products.

I thought she was lovely as well. Love her hair!

I was interested in reading more about it but once I saw the ingredients, I know it isn't for me. There are some ingredients in that that I avoid. I thought the fact that they had independent studies showing that ALL the actives remain active for at least 6 months AFTER it was opened was interesting. I know she said each ingredient was encapsulated in order to do this but I'd really like to know more about that because it was a jar so that kind of surprises me. Maybe technology has come a long way and they are able to make things more stable for longer periods of time.

I love learning about new products, even though I'm not really tempted to try anything new. Smile

wouldn't that be cool if they did CEW award winner sample size kits, say some with all skincare/body care stuff and one with makeup winners?

Yes-great idea esp for the higher end products! I always print out the list of winners and runner ups and try to get samples of some of the higher end products, and to really look at the drugstore winners for opportunities to reduce cost. Would love to attend the conference and hit up every booth!!!

She didn't have ingredient decks on her website -- I'll go look on the Q, assuming that's where you saw them listed. I did see something about dimethicone but I've thrown up my hands in surrender on that long ago. I don't have reactions to it, but I just was wary that it might prohibit absorption of other actives.

And in response to your second post, yes! Little sample boxes would be great! And if these products are as wowza as they claim, we'd try them and buy the full sizes. GREAT idea! Send it on to QVC! :-)

HD: Holy cow! It looks like a deck from one of Skinn's products. Dimitri goes on and on about all the wonderful ingredients and I figure there are so many that must only have infinitesimal amounts -- not enough to do anything, but just to say they're included. You have to wonder about all those products in hers. Nothing too jaw-dropping that I can see, though. Maybe it IS the synergy and technology and whatever else she said makes it work. Looking forward to reading the reviews when they come in here.

Maren, yeah and to think the first three ingredients make up the majority of the product, which are water, dimethicone and glycerine. Wink It has a few interesting ingredients I haven't seen often in products, like the Phellodendron amurense, and some nice ingredients but yeah, not sure how effective most of them would be.
