Hi Everyone

It is a nasty, cold, windy, rainy day with gusts exceeding 40 miles an hour.  It is snowing in the mountains.  Definitely a good day to stay at home, which I did.  We'll see if tomorrow's weather is any better.  I have to get to the store within the next day or so as I'm low on a few things, just not up to battling the cold weather.  Hope everyone is doing well.

hi all. we had gusty winds too but nothing like @JudyL  and @katte . it's been very warm and humid.

DSIL came to pick up Ezra early this afternoon, so we took the opportunity to get some things done. DH went out and worked on getting rid of ant beds and weeds and I did some sorely needed closet rearranging. I bought a  hanging shoe storage bag from Wayfair and it arrived today, so now almost all of my shoes are up off the floor. I also rearranged my purses. I have way too many shoes and purses.

@SleeplessinSDand @JudyL , I hope your sisters are feeling better.

@katte, I agree, it would be wise to stay home with the weather you're having, unless it was absolutely necessary.

@viva923, good you're taking it easy. gotta let that foot heal.

You've had quite an ordeal Viva, but it sounds like the medical team was very good. Our Winter Storm Warning goes until 6pm on Thursday. Had hoped to get to an Ash Wednesday church service but it was cancelled because travel is not advised.

Good Evening Friends, we're still under a high wind warning, but I think we saw the worst of it last night. We woke up to things in our yard toppled all over and throw pillows/cushions scattered through the yard. We picked up a few things, but it's been so cold and rainy off and on, we'll just wait until the weather calms down. Our son lives near the airport about 40 minutes away, and they had 50 to 55 mph winds. Lots of damage with trees and downed power lines not too far where they live too. Things should start clearing up this weekend, so we're also just staying in and keeping warm/dry. I broke a blood vessel in my eye, have no idea how, so the white in my right eye is beet red. I hope I don't have an infection, because it's watery too. Ugh! It's always something!

My sister is on antibiotics and under doctor's care and is feeling better today. Thanks to all for your kind thoughts..

@MariotaMurielle , I need one of those hanging shoe organizers too. First, I need to go through all the shoes I've collected and get rid of what I no longer wear. I've decluttered a lot, but my closets are ongoing projects!

@katte , with the weather you're having, it's a perfect time to stay in and try new recipes. We need to get out and run some need errands too, but it can also wait. 

@JudyL , yikes! You're really getting hammered out your way. My brother lives in Sacramento, and they're getting hit hard too. Stay in safe and keep warm, if you can..

@JustJazzmom , my DH mentioned today he was getting everything together to do our taxes. I told him I want to sit and have him go through it all with me while doing. This will be a first..thanks for the good advice!

Good late morning! Last night we had rain overnight (I could hear it against the bedroom windows) & this AM we have on & off snow continuing through the PM.  Maintenance has already cleared the paths here & it looks like about 2" fell. 

Glad I did my grocery run yesterday. 

Something's arriving from CC company via UPS & I have no idea what it is. It's now in the preparing to be out for delivery stage.

Last night I ordered from EBay 5 salad plates to replace some that had gotten in poor condition & I got a few extra to have on hand. They should arrive by Saturday. They were cheaper than Replacements prices & made in the USA. 

Going to work on shopping list for next week & have set out the ingredients I need for tonight's dinner. I need 2 more small cans of crushed tomatoes when I return to the supermarket.

Good afternoon!

The storm is coming! Day started out sunny but now it's almost Noon and the clouds have rolled in.  Woke up feeling so awful from my allergies that I wasn't sure I'd do much today.  However, took an allergy pill and my energy came back.

Went through all my shoes today and have a nice bag for donation.  Also did more shredding of old paperwork - gads I had way more than I ever imagined.  Now I'm baking a Krusteaz Meyer Lemon pound cake that I added some blueberries to.    Have done 3 loads of laundry and may do one more if the mood strikes  At least then all the laundry would be done.

Have a good afternoon!  I"ll be eating pound cake!  LOL
