@catwhisperer

Just so you know, even though I can do so little for you and don’t know what best calms you and gives you peace, I am sending the best of these that are available to you.

Thank you for sharing this with us; it is unimaginable. I know I would feel better knowing everybody here would be praying for me/us, so my thoughts to you will be the ones I would find comforting.

(((hugs)))

Good morning & Happy Mother’s Day!

@SleeplessinSD  — lovely photo!

@Hayfield  We have rain here for the rest of the day into tomorrow. It is definitely chillier than yesterday. I went outside to bring in the newspapers & glanced at the rain gauge — 2.5” fallen so far!

Have a great Mother’s Day whatever your plans.

These are gluten-free mini-cupcakes sent by DD for Mother’s Day! Wouldn’t you know it? They are so delicious! If you have access to “Baked by Melissa” you are very lucky!

They are also sold on Amazon!

Mike and I ate out on Friday night! We went to a place that is just opening in our nearby area.

So we had a dear teen waitress who was doing her best. I ordered Ahi Tuna seared, and it was done not like I ordered. So, we sent it back....the manager came out to check with me (she feared I would have some type of major reaction.) I told her butter and garlic, etc, on the grill already sure wouldn’t hurt me!

The salmon they sent was delicious!

The name of this place is “Walk-ons” a sports Bistreaux!

Mike, who was suffering with such red eyes, would have enjoyed being out more if it wasn’t for this.

The “saving grace” was that he got what he had been CRAVING...crawfish. Yum!

It is good to hear that your DD is doing so well on her treatments.💐

watching White cliffs of Dover. Love this movie,can watch it over and over and still a wonderful movie.

ok guys. Dinner is in snow cooker. It is ham and potato dinner. A good hearty meal easy to make and very filling.

Re: “2019” 60’s Ladies & Everyone~Please Join Us!

Good Morning!--The weekend was quiet and it was nice not to have anything planned.  It did thunderstorm on and off yesterday but it was warm.  I cleaned out and reorganized my walk-in closet yesterday and it felt good to get that done.  It needed to be done and doing it on a rainy day was a good day to do it, even though it was Mothers Day.  DD and DS both called too.  I had DH go to the local fish market and get shrimp and we had that for dinner, simple.  I didn't want to go out on Mothers Day, too many people and we had gone out too much last week, I was tired of eating out.  Today I'm going to go over to Kohls, I got the 30% coupon and I want to get some light weight work yoga pants, mine are more for winter and it's getting warmer now.  I hope that everyone has a great day!

LLT1--I enjoy tuna and we grilled it on Saturday, my neighbor gave me a basil plant, so I made a marinade of fresh basil, lemon, garlic, oil and vinegar for it and it was good.  I don't like my tuna overcooked but I don't like it raw either.  I do hope DH's eyes are better today!

Justjazzmom--Your flowers sound lovely!  DH sent me a book and DD will take me out to dinner next week when I head up to NYC, stopped in VA on the way up and on the way back.

Viva--My, it did get cold up your way with the rain!  It rained here but was still in the 70's.

SISD--I loved the pictures of the flowers!  I hope your Mothers Day was a lovely one!

Katte--Weren't you making a trip to visit your children?  How did it go?

hi friends. we had a quiet weekend, which suited us both just fine. since DD was here a couple of weekends ago, I didn't see her on Mother's Day, but I did talk to her. she has a sore throat and wasn't feeling great anyway, but she's ok.

yesterday was the first day it didn't storm in quite a while, so DH and I got out and cleaned off the back porch. everything is absolutely coated in pollen. today we're going to pull the two big rocking chairs out onto the deck and spray wash them. there's so much pollen on them, just wiping them off won't get them clean.

hopefully the bad part of pollen season is over.

have a great Monday, y'all.
