Hi halfpint:
Good to see your post, sorry you are having an issue with shin splint, good you can make light of it I am sure it is painful. Hope your better soon. We had that issue years ago with our dog when we brought home a new friend for her, she wasn't having any part of it but in time realizing the other dog was not leaving tolerated her. The younger dog loved her and followed her around, so she had a constant shadow. So sorry to hear about your Son's disability if he needs to work I hope they find him something he can do.Sometimes early retirement can be costly. Have a good rest of the week if its hot in your area stay safe an cool.![]()

Hi halfpint, anything to get out of housework, is what I say.... it will wait for you.
Glad the kitty is well now and do hope the 2 make nice together one day soon.
Sorry your son has a disability now, but there may be just the right job for him.
DD#1 retired at 57. Makes less than if she had taught for more years, but she married for the first time 2 years ago, so between them, they are doing okay.
I'm sure you would love having him around more. It's hot out here as you know. So it's the kind of day to stay inside.
Hi Silkeej, good to see you. Did you order anything from Amazon on the 12th? I did. A Kindle Fire 10". It came last night and today the cover is due. It's a zebra print which I think looks great. DD is going to set it up for me.
Hope possummink is okay. She's always here with her pictures. But I do think she has family visiting. Hi out there....

Hello friends. Got the authorization today to see the radiologist who treated hubby. Made an appointment for the 27th. Am relieved and eager to get this going. The Lord is faithful and I trust Him.
My sister is home from the hospital. The attempts to remove the valve from her neck were unsuccessful. They did a CT scan and found that the little thing was not down the center of the vein, but over to the side. So they are sending her complete records to their best hospital and doctors to study. They will decide if it's better to leave it in and take her off blood thinners, or put her under general anesthesia and remove it surgically. They don't like to do that to people her age, which is 75. So, she is waiting probably for 2 weeks to find out.
Thanks to those who pray for her. Her daughters are concerned also.

Hi Snappy:
Good to hear from you, sounds like you made a good purchase at Amazon, sure you will enjoy having it to play with. I did order from Amazon a new pan I have been wanting for awhile and a new cookbook. I have a Apple Ipad pro that I enjoy and a desktop so I wasn't looking for any tech toys. I checked out the Nike free runs but they were as expensive as always so I passed on them. I am sure Possummink is busy enjoying her family and will be back soon with more interesting pictures for us to enjoy.
So glad to hear you will be receiving your treatments where you had hoped and pray they go well for you. So sorry about your Sister and will keep her in my nightly prayers that they figure out what is best for her, I know you all are concerned and I am sure she is too. I like you put my trust in the Lord and know he is there with you.
Have a good week, stay cool and safe and enjoy you Kindle Fire I don't know too much about them so you'll have to tell me all about it and what you are doing with it.![]()

halfpint - Hopefully everything will work out for your son.
Silkeej - good to see you here.
Snappy - Glad to see your appointment with radiologist is set up. I also ordered from Amazon on the 12th. 2 Kindle Fires @33.00 ea. for 7". One for one of my daughters and one for one of her daughters. Also got cases. Your Kindle fire 10 sounds amazing - probably what I need for these old eyes.
It has been hot and humid here but today only supposed to be 79.

Silkeej, glad you were able to get the pan and cook book. They had some great deals IMO. Sorry the Nikes were still too pricy. DD got some Rebocks and jeans. Everything has already arrived. My new Kindle is wonderful and the zebra cover is way cool!
My sis says she is tired and her neck is sore where they tried to remove the filter.
Just need to pray for the Lord's best. We don't know what that is. If they leave in in place, she won't need blood thinners, but she has Deep Vein Thrombosus. Today she is okay, so that's what matters.
I have mixed feelings about having my treatments where hubby went, but on balance I'm glad. I know everyone and how they do things and they are kind and considerate.
10grands, glad you were able to order the Fires for your DD and GD. It was an amazing buy. I had one of those in the 8" and still do, but sometimes it doesn't work so I took advantage of the saving to get the larger one. It's different and I'm trying to figure out how to use everything. There are tutorials and I've listened or read some of them. I've figured out the email and where to find my games. My books that are in the cloud transferred, but the pictures I had on the other one didn't. I still have them on my computer and there is a way to do it, but I'll leave that with DD when she has time.
Sorry you have the humidity. So hard. It's hot here, but dry.
Thank you both and also our other friends, for praying for me and caring.

Hi Snappy and Friends, Sorry to be missing for so long, We left Tampa on Sunday and got back late yesterday afternoon, then went shopping with my daughter and granddaughters, tried to catch up on laundry, which I am still doing and I have 2 loads waiting.
My daughter an granddaughters are leaving to go home to St. Louis tomorrow morning. I already miss them, The time they're here passes so quickly.
We went to Miami Beach for 3 days and then down to the Keys, Key Largo and Islamorada for a day and a half. I'd love to spend a week or more in the Keys. We drove to many of the places we used to stay at when Charlie was still alive I got to see the lighthouse that marks my favorite diving spot, Alligator Lighthouse, which is about 5 miles out in the Atlantic.

Alligator Lighthouse is 150 feet tall and marks a reef area that's just full of all kinds of fish, sharks, eels, turtles. My husband and I have spent many hours out on the ocean near this lighthouse, diving the gorgeous ledges and coral heads where the fish like to hang out.
I will try to get back here more tomorrow. I sure wish my family lived closer.
Snappy, I hope the radiation treatments treat you gently. I'll keep your sister in my thoughts and hope they can find a safe way to get that stent out of her neck Kind of scary.
Silkeej, 10grands, Phluphy, Bobbisue, Renee, Goldensbest and everyone, sorry if I forgot names, I apologize, have a nice evening and a relaxing weekend. Keep cool, if possible, it's so hot down here in Florida, even the swimming pools are hot. The Atlantic was like bath water.

We drove past the Everglades yesterday and the day before. Wish we'd had time to go into them and do an airboat ride again. Loved it when we did it many years back.
