Hi possummink, I appreciate knowing the names of those birds. I love it that you are enjoying being at home, even if the trip is shorter than you would like. Seems you spend more time in Fl. than where you are now. Also seems you feel equally at home, but your heart is where you are. You must be glad to not have that high humidity. It's 91 here right now, but we don't have humidity to speak of either. Still cool enough inside, but the AC will cool things down after a while. I don't like sleeping in a hot house.

Hope your doctors visits go well. Mammo. Have to get mine soon also, it's been a year on the 25th. Have to talk with my doc about it. Sometimes I wonder why get them at my age, but I do. Wish you didn't have to go to the laundromat. Can't imagine that.

Yesterday I drove DD to the eye doc where we waited a long time, then they have to dilate her pupils. She has a freckle behind her retina, and since she had a melanoma years ago, they keep a close "eye" on this. It was okay. While there, and because my authorization was still good, he continued refracting until he got my good eye to 20/25.

So the bifocal will be 3 instead of 2. I picked out new frames. The ones I wear now are rimless and very light weight and sort of fragile. The new ones are lavender with sort of zig zag pattern on the side pieces. They came with polarized magentic sunglasses I can use or not. They match exactly and hardly show. Free is good. I'll get them in a couple of weeks.

My sis went to the bank yesterday after the ER. She has a UTI. Was tired, but went home to rest. She wants to come out to see me next week, but I told her to rest. We will see.

Hello Snappy!  Good to see you post here.  Glad your sis will be OK.  I like the bed my son brought down from upstairs.  The bed and mattress and box springs are like new.  It is very confortable.  I ordered two more My Pillows from the Q.  I love the one I have, but I need two more.  Have you tried them?  They are a bit expensive, but worth every penny.  I love them.  Sleep like a baby.

I made homemade beef vegetable soup and gave some to my church friend and her adult son.  They loved the soup.  This week I plan to make chicken and noodles and take them some.  I love doing good things for people.  Jesus likes us to share when we can.  She is 80 years old and it is hard for her to prepare food for her and her son.  He moved in with her to keep and eye on her and I'm glad he did.

Parrot Flower

Hi Snappy and Friends,  It's been cloudy here almost all day and I did get some more of my many plants moved outside for the summer.  Wish it would rain and give them a drink and bath.  I'll have to do that tomorrow if it doesn't rain before.  

It's good that you had your eyes checked and are getting new glasses.  I love the price, free,  that's always good.  Hope all is good with your daughter too.

I thought your sister had to stay home or rest for 4 weeks, before going back to work.  Maybe I misunderstood and will go back and re read your post.   It'll be good when you get to finally get together and have a nice visit.
