Perhaps the most famous landmark in London, Tower Bridge looks particularly majestic at dusk.

A recent survey conducted by the American Pet Products Association revealed that nearly half of all pet parents allow their pets to sleep with them at night. Clearly it’s a common practice, but is it healthy for you and your dog? Here are five great reasons to let your dog share your bed, and four reasons to make Fido keep all four on the floor.

Hi Everyone,   I hope your Monday is going well.   It was thundering here a while ago, but only a few drops of rain so far.   It did rain last night or I should say early in the morning hours before dawn.   I was serenaded by a couple of frogs last night and even woke up once to their 'songs'.    I thought one of them was in the room, it was so loud.  There's a small lighthouse fountain right outside my bedroom window and so the frogs visit there now and then.   DDIL did find a bunch of tadpoles when she was putting water in it last week.   I love hearing nature's sounds and miss not being able to have open windows, at least in my room, so I can hear the rain pattering down,  crickets and frogs,  owls and I love hearing the train's whistles too.   I have loved trains,  mainly steam locomotives since I was a kid.  I got to ride in an old steam locomotive engine once when I was a kid visiting my grandparents in Kansas.

Snappy,   Still no rain.   I sure hope it comes soon for all of CA.   Hope your DD is doing ok.   I have a bad back and know how it can affect everything you do.

Fran,   Hope you and Benzi are handling the storms ok and the heat.  A head scratch for Benzi.    Glad you enjoy the photos of England.   I am posting one below,   a bit out of season,  but I thought it was lovely and kind of ''cooling'' with all of the heat here in the south and over in CA by Snappy.

Phluphy,  Hope your back is not as painful and that it improves for you.   Give Kitty a tummy rub or a good petting for me.

Fran, yes, it was a "good" tired. My DDIL is happy to talk about her back issues either in person or on the phone, but doesn't do much texting or emailing. She does for work, but not for family. She has severe arthritis in her back and feet. They can't operate on her unless they fuse her spine which nobody wants. This temporary stimulator will be external, and it will only take 2 or 3 days to know whether or not it helps. If so, they can implant it in her back. It has something like a pacemaker attached to it. The pain doesn't reach the brain to register. Hope it works for her. The muscle relaxers they are giving her help her sleep better. There's a dear woman on KS who has spinal stenosis. She had silicone injections in 2 places and has been helped a lot. Most of the friends I have there are opting to not try posting with this new system. They all use small hand held devices rather than lap tops, so they have real trouble signing in and posting. I use my lap top, not my Kindle Fire. Sorry your new sod was a dud, but glad they are going to fix it. Nurseries are going to go out of business out here and mayb lots of gardeners. And pool guys, etc. And food prices will be higher since the farmers are not going to receive their water anymore. Hugs to you also, dear friend.

possummink, sorry you can't enjoy the sounds of nature you so love. It's too hot to have the window open, plus the AC is probably on. We cool off enough at night to not need it then, and I leave the slider in my room open. Have you considered taking a train ride for fun? One of my friends went up to Canada on the West coast and took a train east. She enjoyed it a lot. Thank you for the pictures.

I am very concerned about all our friends who haven't posted since they Q made these changes. We are praying for you and hope you find you way back.
