Friends were just talking about this . . . Do you still prefer physical media? A DVD, CDs and/or cassettes? We have a stack of nearly 200 CDs and probably 100 DVDs. We travel with the DVDs in the motorhome - if we are on the road and stop for an overnight we can watch something we enjoy. . . but now with Starlink we can pick up 'our' shows just about anywhere. But I love our DVDs, though having a player in the vehicles is a challenge! We bought a car just because it had a CD player a few years back! We have hundreds of records as well but no way to play them!

When we were looking for a replacement vehicle two years ago, we found some cars didn't have cd players or just a slot for one cd. Friends suggested downloading our records or cds to a thumb drive which would work in the new car.
Never pursued this but with all your favorite records and other media, maybe it might help. Hope so.....

Thanks, @jlkz it's been mentioned-but we are not gifted in that way! LOL! I have exactly 1 song on my phone. . . it was set to be a ringtone! (Blake Shelton's Honeybee)
Apparently we are not alone, dvd players and cassettes are making a comeback - probably because of oldsters like me!

Gosh, no, on the physical media question. I got rid of DVD's and CD's when streaming became mainstream. I had no desire to store all that when it is readily available for streaming or downloading.

Haven't used physical media for at least 10 years as mentioned by another poster so glad to save space with them gone.
If you ever want to stock up go to estate sales and they're usually loaded with CD'S & DVD'S at least in our area and are cheap.

I still have a few but never play them. I have a cd player and a portable dvd player but no vcr. I did keep albums from when I was 16--that were still in great shape and gave them to my son who is really into vinyl. I do have cds and a few dvds, vcr tapes--- never was into collecting all that, thru the years. Music isn't a thing in my life--not sure why. I have NO idea about any of the current artists or what is popular--if I listen, it is from the rock era--am a child of the sixties/seventies.

The only think I like to have copies of are kids movies because at some point they do go away from streaming services.
Everything else can be found.
My husband must have thousands of CD's and DVD's that will be pitched if I'm last man standing.
I feel the same way about cookbooks and recipes. They can be found by doing a google search.

My new car that I bought 10 days ago does not have a cd player but it does have Apple Play so all my music is on my phone and I'm a happy camper. We have a bunch of DVD's that we haven't watched in years.

From what I've been reading, the younger generation have been buying DVD's and vinyl. It didn't mention CD's.
We have at least 300 vinyl albums plus a turntable and probably 200 DVD's. I also have old 45's from the forties and fifties that belonged to my father.

Haven't bought or used physical media in 10-15 years but use our Echo Studio every night all night ( and during the day as a cooking timer and and a " reminder"). Don't miss the clutter.
