We've got a long double driveway. It's heavy & wet snow today.

I was shoveling the really deep part of the driveway at the street, where the plowtrucks leave it and it's too deep for the snowblower.

A private snowplow guy went down the street.  Then he pulled around and asked if I wanted him to do that deep part of the driveway.  I said "Yes! how much?"      He did it for nothing!!!

Hubby was snowblowing back by the garage.  When I told him what happened.  He said "You still got it baby!"    LOL

Add me to the group of snow "haters".

When I worked in corporate, unless NYS called a snow emergency, we had to be at work.  Ugh.  My next job was in the school district.  I'm a wuss, so I loved school closings.  Also loved those 2 hour delays.

When I moved to southern Delaware, we had snow twice in the 6 years I lived there.  Everything shut down!  Even stores!  Couldn't believe it.  Now I'm back in NY, and even though I'm retired, I have that pit in my stomach again.  And I drive an all wheel car.Woman Tongue

I intensely dislike that it's dark at 4:30p.  I believe spring should start January 2.

I know I'm living in the wrong part of the country.

I'm a fan but it rarely snows here and when it does, it's not measurable.  I think it was 2020 when the entire state (TX) froze and we had some decent snow.  DH says I'm only a fan because I don't have to get out in it.  Maybe.

@Mary Bailey

Did the guy video his work?

There is a guy I watch on YT who

looks for horribly overgrown, out of control

yards and cleans/mows them for free.  Some

of these homes look like no one has lived there

for years, but someone actually does.

It's a win-win.  Homeowners get their yards

mowed and cleaned for free and he gets paid

with YT views and likes.

@monicakm  -  Is this the one with the man and his son?  I've seen the videos of the man and his son and the transformation is incredible.

We received 11" snow on Saturday and 3" on Monday. Temps are below zero. I can handle the cold but hate snow and ice. I'll take a hot summer over winter any day.
