diet simply means the way I eat....it has nothing to do with restriction or anything negative.  My "diet" is whole plant based foods mostly veggies/fruits and lots. I love my "diet".

I came up with one the other day too, at physical therapy.

 

CD ROM  Can do, range of motion.  LOL

Die is the first syllable in that nasty word!

 

I prefer to call it a meal plan with lots of options. Diets don't work anyway. Less than 97% of people actually stick to them anyway. There's a reason for that. Being overly restrictive with any food group is the pathway to feeling deprived and what usually follows is weight gain...

Appreciate your definition of what that word actually means. How it got to mean: "To lose weight", to this day, I have no clue. That is exactly why I have chose, many decades ago, to never to use that word, unless quoted. I decided on "food program" when it comes to food and drink consumption.
