Today, March 28th at 9:30-ish, in 2022, I was formally and legally divorced!!! Took a year and lots of $$$$$ , agony and anger--to get it done. Was married for 47 years to a person who was not worthy of me or our 2 kids. It is one of a few memorable events in my life --the great and the horrible--that I feel like I should celebrate. But it is also at the very end of that list too and am thankful every day I am not wasting time on that dirtbag. I will NEVER forgive or forget-- but at the same time--am not wasting a nano second of my life now, re-hatching anything from that period of time. It's like my cancer Dx--I had it , got thru and am surviving quite nicely. DD and I were planning on a nice celebration dinner out, but dang it, she has RSV!! Don't need any snarky comments  about my posting here about it,  but it is a good thing for me. Thanks for listening!

@wagirl.  Contrary to snarky remarks, I think many of us have been there and would say,  "you go girl" and best wishes for many more happy years.

No judgement here !! You did what you had to do to bring you peace. I pray complete healing for you and continue to enjoy each and every day !  I also have 2 children and had to make some decisions for me to be at peace ! God Bless you and I pray healing for your DD!

@wagirl - I think many of us here would understand how you feel.

You should be proud that you found the strength and resilience to get out of a toxic situation.

Enjoy the freedom and peace of mind that you now have.  And go out and celebrate as soon as you can!  Woman Very Happy
