Re: Your Prayers Would Be Appreciated

Prayers heading to you and your DH. If I could only add one thing it would be, it's said most Men will die with this type of cancer than from it. My DH has a friend who was diagnosed with it many many years ago, and they put in what they called "seeds" in his prostate for the cancer. He is unfortunatley not doing well now, but because of a different type of cancer which is the fatal type of luekemia. So in his case, he will pass with it in the prostate, and not from it. Hopefully your DH cancer is contained there and can be removed, as the ideal situation. Prayers you will get the right advice as well.

@JeanLouiseFinch   blessing to you and your family. Hard, scary diagnosis. I have been there. My husband recieved diagnosis a year or so after I finished treatment for breast cancer.  He had PET, the tests and his diagnosis was that the cancer was close to bladder, and very, very aggressive , he was 64 at time.  They actually found it because they had gone in to open duct in prostate so he could urinate better. His blood tests hadn't shown anything, although he had tests often. They found the cancer then!! Anyway he had high beam radiation, and those Lupron shots, and he is healthy to this day. He is 78 now.

i have bit of advice since I know you are into health. My husband took high dose of Life Extension Tumeric every day before, during and after radiation. He had no side effects. He also jogged a bit, or walked fast for a few miles every day, radiation or not. It helped him. Doctor was amazed at how he went thru high beam.  His Doctor knew he was taking tumeric. When he was finished with radiation, Doctor came to him and said his medical journal had come out with publication of findings that tumeric helped those going thru radiation, especially men!!!!
please research this.

@JeanLouiseFinch   just to let you know, my husband went to a  radiation center, that did only prostate cancers!   Hopefully they have one near you.  Well worth it.
