Just curious...your favorite religious holiday, your favorite secular one? (if you even feel the need to differentiate.)
Please, let's try not to get taken down for being "too religious" on this thread, violating any board rules...but I didn't know how else to differentiate and describe what I meant by the different type holidays, but you can just say your fav holiday.
I do separate my two favs...
Easter's my favorite religious holiday...love Spring, love the pastels, the bunnies and tulips, love the meaning of the holiday, love the Lenten season into Easter, that whole journey as a Catholic, love the time of reflection into renewal. Love my favorite traditional Italian desserts we enjoy during that time too, from my favorite local Italian bakery.
July 4th...my favorite secular holiday. Summer's my favorite season and this is the kickoff to me (more than Memorial Day, the "unofficial kickoff"...either works, however you see it.) July I always say is both our nation's bday month and mine too. And it's just a fun holiday, picnics, parades, celebration of our nation's independence, and 🎇 fireworks.
How about you? What holiday and why, what do you love most about it? 🎄 🐣 🐰 🪺 🎇 ☘️ 🎃 👻 🎉 🥂 🍾

@amyb Thanksgiving for sure! You and your friends and family get together, eat and visit. NO gifts, no high expectations!

My favorite: The month of my birthday is 1 big holiday.
I celebrate the WHOLE month of my birthday. On the actual day, I party like it's 1999.
"Each day above ground is a good day."
"Never argue with a fool. Onlookers may not be able to tell the difference."

#1 Thanksgiving, just family, friends and food. No gift worries!
#2 Halloween, love it. Ghosts and scary things are my thing. Also kids at the door and candy😍

Holidays are sort of a non-issue these times for us. Family and friends are gone, so the two of us just count our blessings to have had them and celebrate having each other.
Of course we celebrate religious commemorative dates, but that is different.
