@Shanus  So easy for people to say just move...I find that to be a stupid reply...not that easy to pick up and move to a warmer climate.

Our Ohio weather has been miserable as well, this weekend more snow, I am over it.

My guess @just bee is that you're a purist 😅, but it is delicious cut with a dry prosecco if too lemony or sweet for anyone. Discovered that by accident in my hotel room in Rome a couple years ago. 🥂

So tired of our crazy winter weather.   We had a cruise out of Norfolk Va starting on Jan 24.  It was in the  low 30s boarding and the heat on the ship was sporadic.  Our last port was cancelled due to the incoming storm so we got back to Norfolk one day early on Sat, Jan 31.

Since we were driving south to come home, and that was the worst of it, we spent 2 days in a hotel in Roanoke Rapids.  The highways were clear on the way home, but once we got to our neighborhood outside of Monroe, NC, the roads were hit and miss.  The snow had melted off the roads if they were in sun, but not if they were in shade.

Our pet sitter was not able to get out of her driveway but left our Husky plently of food and water for the 3 days she couldn't visit.  He has a doggie door and doesn't eat much when we're gone.......he still had food and water in his bowl when we got home.

Wintry mix/possible light snow is predicted for today but the temps are in the 30s.  Roads are fairly clear/dry in spite of all the rain and freezing temps overnight.

This weekend in NE PA they are calling for not just frigid temps but windchills will make it feel like 15 to 25 BELOW.

I'm tired of spending $500+ every 4 or 5 weeks for home heating oil.

I have been in this house for 30 years and have never, ever used this much fuel no matter how bad the winter was.

@Shanus @CrazyKittyLvr2  And others.   I just can't imagine the cold, deep frustration with this hard winter.  Not too mention the cost, and inconvenience to life itself.  I really worry for the elderly or those with little means keeping warm. It's scary,    I am in NorCal and we haven't your plight, but we have had storms, which in the 1980's, and mid 1990's  were perilous.  I do remember after years of drought  it rained, we were happy but then it rained and rained, It didn't stop from Oct to June. The January and Feb in 1990's. hit a record ...where it rained every day for 2 months. Everyday the gray, black skies, rain. During the 1980's floods, didn't have decent cable in those days and no computers, tech stuff. Then the summer that followed was so humid and gray. Sticky hot and gray every day.   We had the huge mudslides at Love Creek, so many deaths, and SoCal was a wash in mud, some small towns disappeared.   Our weather here where I am is different this year, not enough rain, and no snow pack in Sierras for good ski season.  If will make you feel better, we had mild weather compared to you guys and my PGE was 698!  There was one year we did get a little snow, went down to 17 degrees , and pipes froze, pipes. Everyone take care, be careful, and I am hoping for spring for you soon!
