Yes, I live an hour and a half from Lake Superior. It is cooling off but spending time outside of course is not advised. One step from hazardous. I could see flecks of ash on my car.

I heard a campfire got out of control in the Boundary Waters coupled with Canada fires that seem to happen annually. Sounds like many months to be controlled. Filtering South and East.

We have a Lumberjack Championships this weekend and hope the air will improve. I still have some KN95 Covid masks on hand.

Utah is on fire! There is one - I think the Babylon fire has been the number one fire in the country. We had the driest snow fall in record this past winter. Seems like every night n the news a new one starts up. So scary.

Awful here in CT! All of a sudden it hit yesterday...got dark, cloudy, I hadn't seen the news about the wildfires, so I thought a storm was brewing with all the humidity. Then SO told me about the wildfires, and when I went outside, seemed like a local fire you could smell the smoke so bad.

This morning bad...dark, smokey, humid, air thick and I'm stuffy. I closed all the windows put on the air...and I guess it's an indoor day!

Not that we have the worst of it...hope it improves up in Canada, and wherever else they're experiencing these wildfires. As others have said here, I too am amazed how far the smoke travels.

We've just woken up and we smell the smoke here in western MI.

It is now the highest dangerous air quality in our area here north of Chicago according to the weatherman. My son who lives in Buffalo is experiencing similar smoke and will be flying to North Carolina today. I hope they will allow the flight to go.

Yes, I'm in New Jersey and when I opened my windows yesterday, I could definitely smell the smoke so closed them and I put my a/c back on. I'll keep it on all day (and all summer).

Here in Indiana we have seen hazy skies and the weatherman rates it as "unhealthy". They are predicting rain tomorrow so that will help they say. We are having hot weather here lately in the mid to high 90's. It's also been very humid. Looks like a good day to stay inside.

Was hoping to turn off the A/C today but I cannot. Hopefully tomorrow. THe smoke is worse than yesterday here in Upstate NY.

It's terrible in upstate NY. Yesterday it was so gray and hazy it looked like it was the end of the world. It's not as hazy today but they are saying it is unhealthy for everyone to be outside for a long period of time.
