@cheriere Thank you for posting the photos. I have never seen a wild onion. I thought perhaps there were some that I did not recognize as such, but no. They are new to me. Now I have seen them!

ONce in a while they will grow in my flower beds. If you see stringy things pull them up and there will be a little onion at the end. I imagine the wild animals and birds drop them there. Couldn't find the 4 leaf clover.

It's in the bottom front left of the picture.  It's fairly big.  I hope this helps you find it.🌸

Farmers kill them if they're in a pasture; the wild onions flaver the milk!

It's a big deal with a lot of country people and tribal people here in Oklahoma.  They have places they know to gather them, and special spring dishes they cook with them.

If you see some, be sure they are growing where it hasn't been sprayed for weeds.

Also, you can keep a little piece of the root end of green onions from the store, put them in a little water and they'll sprout tops!

I never knew this about country and tribal people gathering them.  How cool!

No, they're not growing where anyone has sprayed for weeds.  It seems we have an overwhelming amount of them too lol.

I didn't know you could sprout one in water either.

Im so glad you posted, thank you.💝🌸
