A touching tribute from a loving daughter. Her company must have a lenient bereavement policy - my company gives us three days for spouses, parents and children. That's not enough time but our HR person said the owner of the company felt he was being generous. And no, because vacation was allotted at the start of the year, you could not use those days.

@AuntG Pretty sure she's on FMLA (Family Leave Act) through the end of May.

Her Dad passed away the first of May

I believe she was out on family leave to tend to her father while he was ill and to protect the family from the virus, since both parents were at risk.  This is different from bereavement leave which has to do with final arrangements.

she has been on both......family leave and bereavement leave.

we will see her back on june 1st.
