@CherryHugs I know you asked about Christmas decor, but in the past, I did put my Hanukkah decorations on the door (a blue/white wreath w/lights. It went up around the first week of November.
NOT this year for sure!!! These are fearful times and we are one of only three Jewish families in our neighborhood.

I'm so sorry you're experiencing such fear and hatred from others.
Can you hang them inside on your front door?
It's an injustice when one has to hide who they are.

I will on Thanksgiving weekend. We need to get a new tree and I'm thinking of getting a smaller one maybe a four foot one to put on a table. Last year I gave a lot of decorations to the kids that wanted them and donated a lot. I'll keep it festive for the grandkids but as I get older less is more.

@Alsace Gal The granddaughters are older now and understand the situation. They also will not miss the decor. They aren't decorating their house either.
Neither I nor them are wearing their Star of
David necklaces on the outside of their clothing now.
I encountered this growing up, but am so sad they have to experience it.

@Shanus It is terrible what is happening and I am so sorry you all have this to deal with.

Thank you for all your messages. It was so nice reading them.
I donated alot more decorations this year so do not have as much now at all.
Did actually put a few things around yesterday and not much more left. Tree though will go up the middle of November, as well as the wreath on the door and garden flag![]()

I will remove the fall decorations on Thanksgiving weekend. I will probably gather the Christmas decorations and faux tree that weekend, and slowly put things out and then decorate the tree the last week of Nov. Everything will be done by Dec. 1st.
I pared down all my decorations, donated and gave away many items no longer needed. So my house decorations will be smaller, but lovely. Can't wait.

Probably the 2nd Saturday in December.

I sort of decorate for Christmas/winter in stages. The outside which is only the front door wreath and two urn trees flanking the doorway with some soft white lights will be done a week or so before Thanksgiving but the lights on them will not be turned on until after Thanksgiving.
The battery operated candles in all the windows will be put in and lit on a timer this week. They stay up and lit all fall and winter. My fireplace mantle is decorated for winter as opposed to Christmas so that it stays up until the end of February. I will start on that probably the week before Thanksgiving so that it's done by Thanksgiving. The Christmas tree will be the last decoration to go up and that will be the day after Thanksgiving.

@Shanus I'm sorry you're having to go through this. It's so hateful. It makes me sick anymore to see our country/world and what's going on everywhere!!
