In a few years, Lord willing, I'll hit 80.  As a present to myself, I will go braless at the house.  My mind has left the building.

If you're having a milestone birthday (one that ends in zero) 60, 70, 80 etc., what present have you given to yourself?  This will be a real, turning over a new stone.  LOL

That sounds very sensible - LOL!  I hit 70 two years ago.  Still can't believe it!  Anyway, I usually don't wear a bra at home unless I am going to be doing yard work which is only in the warm winter months, or going out to do something or be somewhere.  Also, now that I am retired, I am usually in my p.j.s if I am just going to be home all day.  I am more comfortable that way, so why not?  Also, I no longer wear makeup unless I am going to be doing things outside the home.  I figure it this way --- I spent my whole ife doing my hair, wearing makeup, dressing as well as I could with everything matching --- so, now I'm just going to go pretty much natural when I'm home!  As for turning 80??  Well, I'm not going to go there as I have no idea what will happen by then!

You know, the all day pj's can be my #2 on that list!  LOL Good idea. I'd love that.

A lot of the ones I have look like lounging sets so if I really wanted to be more presentable in a hurry, I could just throw on a bra!  LOL!!!!

Same as @AngelPuppy1 .  I'm 61 and was blessed to be able to retire at 47.  Even while working though, at home?  No makeup, no bra, and certainly no laborious fixing of my hair!  No kids, and only my husband at home, so why not?  Can't imagine waiting until 80 to not wear a bra in the house!  Life's short; stop wearing a bra in the house now!  Smiley Happy

I'm going to be 80 in January.  I haven't even thought about what I'm giving myself.  I have no intentions of not wearing makeup or a bra.  I like to look nice every day no matter what I'm doing.  My clothes (and bra) are comfortable so there is no reason not to wear them.  Actually, I'm more uncomfortable w/o a bra.

I would like to be thought of as that 80 year old who looks good and takes care of herself.

In my 80's, but I wear a bra except when I'm showering. I'm more comfortable with than without, but I choose what bra I wear depending upon what's happening in the day. I have 3 categories - new well-engineered wireless when I need good support, older comfortable wireless for days at home, and a couple of quite old wireless from my really overweight days that I wear to bed.

No way could I have predicted a decade or two ago that I'd be living my 80's as I am.  Just think of everything that has occurred in the US and the world since 2000 and add over 20+ years to my body.  My advice is to plan for life to take unexpected twists and turns and find a way to dance through the inevitable storms instead of waiting for the storm to end.  (Last part from a sign in a doctor's office)
