Among Friends

I have 2 very close friends that I consider to be family. The one friend calls me her “sister friend”, and the other calls me her “adopted daughter”. Family is not always limited to blood relations in my opinion.

I totally agree.  "Family" can transcend biology to many other categories.

Including species!  LOL My pets were "family".

I think family is made up of people you love and care about. People you enjoy being a part of their lives and having them be a part of yours. It is all about feelings of the heart.

I have a very close friend and she calls us "sisters".  We just enjoy everything we do together.

My best friend from high school is still my best friend today.  I am called by her family "the other sister".   It's true, family is who you love and who you spend your time with.  And yes, our pets are part of that equation

I am not close with my siblings.

No jealousy, subtle 'insults', etc. 

Just pure caring about other people and friends.
