I think that is subjective. Change can be anything from trying a new soap to moving to a new city, or having a child or getting married.

I get befuddled when I get updates on phone/IPad and those things change. I’m not tech savvy and it takes awhile for me to learn and adapt to new programs, APPS, etc.
Change in surroundings is 50/50. If we are returning to a destination, I try to stay at the same hotels. I’m familiar w/ the layout and have already mapped out the miles from there and back for walking/running.
I’m also not an adventurous eater and prefer familiar restaurants since I already know the carb counts, etc.

Here's what I think about change. There's not one gosh darn thing you can do about it.
The world, people, places, you name it changes. You either accept it and make it work for you, or you TRY (key word try) to fight it. Never works.
Here are a few of the quotes I keep in my kitchen. I look at these quotes often:
YOU CAN'T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT.....
BUT IF YOU 'TRY', SOMETIMES YOU'LL GET WHAT YOU NEED.
EXPERIENCE IS A BRUTAL TEACHER....BUT YOU LEARN....MY GOD DO YOU LEARN (CS Lewis).
WE MUST BE WILLING TO GIVE UP THE LIFE WE PLANNED IN ORDER TO LIVE THE LIFE AHEAD OF US....(Joseph Campbell)
And here's one that often applies to today: "IN A TIME OF DECEIT, TELLING THE TRUTH IS A REVOLUTIONARY ACT (George Orwell)
Finally, this is one I had a friend read when my wonderful husband died suddenly,
OUR SORROW IS NOT IN THE LOSS OF THE LIFE WE HAD WITH HIM,
BUT IN THE LOSS OF THE LIFE WE COULD HAVE HAD WITH HIM.......
I hate change, really hate it. There is nothing we can do about it. If we're lucky enough to live a long life, relatively healthy, we all learn there is nothing we can do about it.
Here's one I used to say to my girls when they were little:
"What a beautiful day GOD's given us! My girls would look up and say, "Thank you GOD"!
Today is a gift from GOD...he has given us 24 hours to use as WE choose. When the day is done I hope I don't regret the price I paid for it".
Phew! I'll go take a shower and get ready for the day. Sorry to be so preachy....just in that kind of mood I guess.
I'm coming up on my 52 wedding anniversary and the day my husband died. I tend to get retrospective at those times. Remembering...always remembering...but not living in the past or over-glorifying it. I feel like we have to be honest about life (warts and all).
@ECBG - I love you so much.

Yes for instance I still like talking to a person instead of automated answering.

I’m a creature of habit. Not a fan of change. That being said change is ultimately inevitable.I bite my tongue & move on.

@Laura14 Thanks for your heart! I normally don't respond (like I know everyone else doesn't either).
However, I just want to add, I wish I could take my own advice all of the time. I guess (like everyone here would say) if we take our own advice even some of the time....maybe that's ahead of the curve (whatever the @#$% curve is or means).
Gotta go. Friend called for lunch!

A lot of it doesn't go easy with me. When the year turned from 1999 to 2000, I was very sad when the 19's died, so to speak. This week in Wal Mart I was paying with a check, and the cashier had no idea how to process the check and I held the line up for at least 20 minutes because no one would come and answer his call for assistance. I pay for gas with cash. I miss the days when you could drive up and get it pumped for you, get the windshield cleaned, oil checked and the air pressure in the tires checked. I don't need a smart refridgerator, alexa or anything else that keeps tabs on me. Cell phones are causing a lot of deaths, rises in automobile insurance and new laws to be created because people literally can't drive without it. They can't help it, it's an addiction. A cell phone is also a good thing for many reasons. So, changes could be used in moderation, considering the circumstances. I avoid the ones that I can.

I run from change, avoid it, hate it. But sometimes, after it happens, it’s actually better than before & I get mad that it took me so long to embrace it. 🤓

It's life. Go with the flow, embrace the good things, and it's like worrying about when Christmas decorations appear in stores. It doen't do you any good to fret about it.
