@lynnie61 - The friend I went to Dollywood with also wants to do white water rafting.
We're still thinking about it, when she visits again in the summer. I'll make sure whatever we choose doesn't involve a long hike up a hill at the end.

@fairydogmother - Great, fun topic!

Para sailing. Although I loved it at the moment, it was in Mexico, and the drivers took me over a gorgeous hotel for the landing. THEN, I thought are these people even licensed or insured? It was wonderful, but then I thought about it. What you do when you’re 28 or 30.
@lynnie61 I wanted to parasail on our last beach vacation but I chickened out - wondering "how strong are those cords, really?" Settled for swimming with the pigs. They didn't worry me too much as long as I fed them carrots.

@Venezia The group had to carry it up but we were exhausted.
I did it in my 30’s wouldn’t happen again, even if I was 17. Just me.

The world is so different now. I probably wouldn't do 75% of the things I did when I was in High School.

@Mj12 I have to say it was one of my best experiences in my life. Then I thought about the cords too. But it truly WAS amazing up there. Peaceful, calm, and gorgeous views.

LOL, i am sure there are more, but those are off the top of my head.
The hotel room...I spent over twenty five years in the Sweet Adelines barbershop organization. As a member of various choruses and quartets. Going to regional and international competitions every year. So you stay four to a room to hold down costs. Gaaahh!! So many things I disliked about that:
*sleeping with someone in the same bed
*sharing one bathroom- four women who all have to be ready at the same time for the performance, in stage makeup and hair
*the random person who walks around naked and unashamed. That was awkward and unexpected. You think you know someone. Haha
*Rooming with women who are big drinkers and invite everyone to our room to get wasted and sing and stay up til the wee hours
now, my limit is one roommate, two separate beds,or pay the full price for my own room.
