My late DH and I said I love you every single day, even the times we were mad at each other! Our son also heard "I love you" every day and to this day whenever we text or talk I love you is always part of it.

Count this husband out. Not a day goes by without both of us saying this to each other. My wife just left to run some errands and I said: "be careful and I love you baby".

Her salutation to me when i leave for ice skating? "Be careful/don't fall, and don't get hurt", followed by "love you".

No weird thoughts when i hear those words as they are as common as "how you feeling today"?
