You could go on People's Court or something. I've seen the same kind of thing on.
Personally after being charged for the fix I would have never went back.

Thank you............

I don't like to use social media because there are things you might post in the heat of anger that you later regret having written. By that time, too many people have read it. I also worry about the reaction of those against whom we write our comments. You never know these days what people might do. I think it would be much easier, and safer for your hair and your well-being, to change salons. I live in a small city and there's a shop on every corner.

You didn't know the blow dryer was that hot before it burned you?

@Furry wrote:I have been going to the same hair salon for about 20 years. This past summer I was burned. When I confronted the then owner, she didn't compensate me in any way. I decided to put it on social media. Recently I had another incident with one of their more recent employees who burned my face with the blow dryer and evidently burned my scalp. As a result,I had a few scabs on my scalp and my hair is damaged. The then owner who recently sold the shop to her nephew told me to come back in one week for a special hair repair treatment. I usually go there every two week. This cost me an additional 50.00. As a result, I called her nephew who is the new owner. The first thing he mentioned was that he would rather I talk to him before putting something on social media. I neglected to tell him that this was put on social media before he took over the business. I also told him that this is a new incident. He offered me a 50.00 gift certificate and free hair repair treatment. Do you think that I have handled this matter in a suitable way? I felt bad when he made mention of the social media. However, I was angry that nothing was done to compensate me at the time. I spend a great deal of money at this shop.
This is the extent of my social media, other than a hockey forum. If I get treated badly by any company, I always try to go to the top person. I might tell my friends or someone that asks about the company. I cannot think of a single time I even considered posting anything negative on any of the BIG social media websites. I don't think I have, or would ever get that ticked off.

I'm so sorry you ended up with a scar! I would never go back. I probably would have demanded some sort of compensation (more than the stingy compensation they offered). However, it's kind of late in the game. As someone said downthread, you maybe should have gone to a doctor to have the burn(s)...were there 2 burns? Now I can't remember lol...looked at. Again, I'm sorry you were caught up in this situation...it's always something!!

One needs to be be careful when they post in "social media" about businesses, in a negative way.
Try to reslove the matter first.

As I said, I tried to resolve it with the then manager. She did absolutely nothing.
