They said not even if it's in pre-mixed salad.  And if you have any in your refrigerator, sanitize your refrigerator after tossing the lettuce.  Glad I bought iceberg earlier this week!!!!!!!

Yep, just got the same alert. No Romaine at all is to be considered safe.

At this point, I fear it's permanent extinction is at hand. ☹️

Re: WARNING REGARDING ROMAINE LETTUCE

Tainted lettuce again, tainted turkey, tainted water. Animal foods are clogging our arteries, fish has mercury in it, salt is bad, sugar is bad, white bread/pasta/rice are bad. What next? I'm tired of trying to figure out what to eat on a daily basis. Smiley Sad

I promise to remind myself every day that I am strong, courageous, and resilient.

@catwhisperer   I lost a brother at age 45 and one at 55.   I drove myself nuts worrying about what I was eating.  I stopped doing that, but this situation is serious enough for them to say throw it away, then I feel we need to pay attention.   I think don't eat too much of anything.   It isn't worth the stress.

Re: WARNING REGARDING ROMAINE LETTUCE

@BalletBabe...I'm so sorry to hear that you lost two brothers.

I just saw on the news today that there is yet another ground beef recall. That is one thing I have stopped eating, not that I ate much of it to begin with.

You're right, the situation with the food is serious.

@catwhisperer   Thank You!   I didn't know about the ground beef, but I am not a big eater of any meat but that is good to know.  I just thawed out spaghetti sauce, but that ground meat is a month old or older in it.   My hubby was a big meat eater.  He passed a few years ago and I find I hardly eat any meat.  I just don't care for it that much.   I am Italian, so I do make a mean meatball!  LOL  David would definitly do the Happy Dance for my meatballs.  LOL

Re: WARNING REGARDING ROMAINE LETTUCE

I hope i,m ok.  While waiting for the dog to get groomed two days ago, I went to McDonalds and got a chicken sandwich.  It had romaine lettuce in it.  The recall was the best day.  I have not been to any fast food p!ace in months, now this.  So far, I don,t feel bad.
