I agree with the poster "Surfer Wife", who said that you cannot know somone based on their appearance, but I also feel that I have gotten to know so many on these boards over the last decade or so-so I thinkit IS natural to want to put a mental image of them to their words...

When I was "stilltamn8r" to now, as mothertrucker..I have met so many here...and I do not mean to  sound subversive, but why DONT more of  us post our pictures?..I do, it never occured to me NOT to..I am not very mysterious, just a 60 year old blonde  from Southern California..Dont know if I do, or do not, look like what folks imagine, but I DO look just like ME!!!!

@Mothertrucker  I don’t post pics or exact personal info because it’s social media. This is not a secure site. I have shown partial face (features covered) to illustrate hair styles or my new white hair. I don’t give locations where my family or I live, either. Every one has their own level of comfort.

Re: Visualizing What Posters Look Like

Ladies, today is day 3 of dealing with a kidney stone. You don't want to visualize what I look like.

Yesterday morning I called my Doctor's office. They told me to come right in. I ran a comb through half my head. As soon as I got to the Doctor's office and sat down, they took me. I guess they did not want "that scary" women in their waiting room.

I am SO GLAD you can't see me.

@LTT1 - stunning! Thx for sharing. Perhaps some other posters will follow suit and post a pic of themselves. The sunglasses are a good idea. This is a fun thread!

Posters...how about posting a picture with sunglasses like @LTT1? Or a picture from years ago like @StylishLady? There’s still a little mystery either way....

Re: Visualizing What Posters Look Like

I honestly never think about what anybody looks like.    All that comes to mind for me is who the person is, based on their writings - how they act, how they treat others, and the person they represent themselves to be, based on their general behavior and sense of manners and empathy.

I guess I never needed a picture in my head.   The 'picture' is who they actually are for me.

That probably doesn't make sense, but that's ok.  Smiley Happy
