What was the humming bird thinking????

That it's a "peachy" idea.

Nature has its way, and that hummer must have liked what she saw! That tiny little egg was probably smaller than my little fingernail! Aren't they just amazing!~

Hi, @ECBG ! I've come to believe that hummingbirds are signs of God on earth. How those little bodies hover and feed themselves is a miracle I can't even imagine!

@ECBG , it must be a tiny egg? My friend has had two sets of junko eggs in her hanging baskets.
I am in Nova Scotia. The hummers leave mid September. I found them late arriving this year.
Keep us posted! LM

Maybe it was attracted to the color.

This year for the very first year ever, I seemed to have a nest in the tree right by the feeder outside the kitchen window. I can't think of any other reason why there was so much activity and young.
Even borrowed a high power scope, and nothing. They are so hidden. And I am not going to climb a tree after they leave.
It was a joy for this year. Would love to see it up close.
