We're isolating in a warm place, as we try to do each February. Drove here and see fewer people than while at home. Our anniversary / Val Day celebrated together. We'll ride our ebikes to our favorite restaurant and eat our lunch outside.

@DiAnne

Same here.  Our rationale is that we get better service and food on another day.  If we desire we go out prior.  This year we might carry out from new bbq restaurant that opened super close by.  Sounds so good on cold icey day.

This brings to mind our pre- New Years celebration last year (2019).  We did something way out of normal.  Restaurant had an event that we signed up for and it was so great.  It was appetizers thru dessert with wines appropriate for each course.  Decorations and service lovely.  It was such a treat.  I had arranged ueber pickup so no guilt to partake.  I will always remember.

I have been watching YouTube cooks and have decided I will be making cheese grits and shrimp, a wedge salad, Hawaiian dinner rolls and cherry cobbler (in honor of Honest George).  Mainly all this because I wanted the shrimp and cheese grits and have the other stuff either in pantry, fridge or freezer.

With subzero wind chills, ice, and snow I don't need to have valentine day plans. I just want to stay safe and be warm in my house. Love should be celebrated everyday.

I am planning to make heart shaped biscuits and heart shaped sausage patties, plus some eggs, for breakfast for my family. That's about as exciting as it gets around here, LOL!

My husband actually surprised me with flowers today. We're not into Valentine's Day much, but every once in a while he buys flowers, and this morning I discovered some red roses on the table when I went into the kitchen. I think I'll keep him!

Since it's supposed to be bitterly cold in St. Louis (0 degree low) on Sunday with 4" to 8" of snow, we'll be staying in! I took a couple of small steaks out of the freezer and will use an indoor grill for them, along with baked potatoes and maybe glazed carrots. Nothing fancy. We always give each other a mushy card and a gift bag with some sweets and snacks. DH can't get out much anymore, so I noticed he's ordered several things for me....I just never know!
