Re: VALENTINE PLANS?

[ Edited ]

@Shanus

I had planned my regular 2 hour Sunday ice skating session, but! Public Skating was canceled because of a 4 day hockey tournament because of Presidents Day.

Beings it is our wedding anniversary, will probably stay out of the -15-25° wind chill factors. Might break down and eat a slice of my wife's pizza, unless it has meat in it.

My wife prefers doing the same this year. Has absolutely nothing to do with the pandemic.

@hckynut   It's reaaly cold here too...rain expected to turn to ice as temps hover around 30 degrees. Pizza sound to me. Love a good veggie pizza, myself....spinach, muchrooms, black olives, red peppers, artichoke hearts, etc. Yum!

Staying in, cooking a special dinner for each other, good wine, movie.

Grateful to snuggle with animals by the fire, and be warm, and dry.  Very Cold, wet, slippery here.

My husband brought me home flowers and a box of candy after doing some food shopping this morning.

We will have linguini with clams later on and share a bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape.

We have been watching The Man in the High Castle and will start (and probably finish) season 4.   It's on Amazon Prime and we are enjoying it so much.

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

Candy, flowers, a delicious menu -- what more could you ask for, @Tessa Mendoza :-)

Record low temperatures today after two weeks of temperatures in the mid-60s.  It's supposed to drop to 4 degrees tonight.

We're staying in: I'm watching John Adams (the HBO series with Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney), drinking an Italian red and looking at the snow.

Despite terrible weather, I made sure my relatives received nice Valentine cards. They didn't reciprocate. My husband and I exchanged cards and little presents but that was it. Now I know who I should exert myself for.
