Oh well, another holiday at home. I think we're bringing in Chinese food and I'm not big on dessert, but baking a small heart shaped cake for DH...purchased a heart shaped one layer pan when kids were young.

DD in WA said some restaurants are opened for indoor dining and she has reservations for dinner. It wouldn't be my safest choice, but Mama's kept mouth shut.

@Shanus  Yes mama has to know when to keep her mouth shut.😂 That's why my DIL loves me so much because I have mastered the art of balance. When I sense hesitation I give an opinion. When I sense "mind already made up" I zip it.

As far as Valentine's Day we are bringing in from our favorite Italian restaurant & will pop a bottle of wine 🍷.

Grateful for all my blessings amidst the Covid craziness.

Yes. Originally DH had reservation at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, but I had dental work that requires soft food for a while. We will be going to a favorite Chinese place instead.

Nope.......unfortunately my hubby doesn't really want to go out to dine for awhile longer.

We have been out only two times in the last 3 months.   I love going out for dinner but understand his concerns.   We enjoyed some outdoor dining during last summer when things calmed down a bit.   It's okay though as we cook some lovely meals at home.  I was thinking of just doing a roast dinner in the crockpot on Sunday.  Easy enough and always a good meal, plus we are in for a little snow that day.  He's not a big dessert person so I don't have to worry about that at all.   I'll just dip into my chocolate stash with my wine after dinner.   Whatever your plans, enjoy them Smiley Happy

DH and I never go out on valentines day - there are no great restaurants close to home.  We do have a meeting out of town today so will enjoy a good lunch at a favorite restaurant in that area.

We have been eating inside restaurants since this whole things began.  You just have to be smart and safe.  Avoid large crowds and establishments that aren't practicing safety.

Reading many medical publications, the "nongovernment" experts/doctors say to practice the safety protocols and don't be scared.  Having your body and mind in a constant state of fear is extremely unhealthy.

As far as Valentine's day, we aren't into that.  We will most likely eat out as usual.

We have been doing the same thing. We eat out, visit the zoo, go to movies, visit wineries,  wear only 1 mask at a time, and generally practice being safe.

We will be grilling on Sunday; steaks, baked potatoes, salad, rolls, and red velvet cheesecake for our core group; the 4 of us and both boyfriends.

I always have my granddaughter spend the night with me the night before then take out my son and the rest of his family to a restaurant for lunch.  Last year on V.Day was my last time inside a restaurant.  My GD is coming tomorrow night but Saturday's lunch will be take out from several places we all love. Celebrating early due to weather conditions.

I will provide tea, cheesecake and macaroni salad.  Of  course a couple of boxes of heart shaped candy for my two grandchildren.  Then we have snow and ice due in on V. Day itself.
