Last night was a replay of the ultra comfy couch, as ankles went down preventing me from being up stairs. Then the diuretic kicked in with the early hours.

DH had to help me up 3 times!  We could go back to sleep, thank goodness!  I woke up looking into green trees!

I haven't had a diuretic before but my ankles are less swollen.  Swelling is pain with this.

Hopefully, the new visiting physical therapists will call Monday.

Thank you to all of you for your care and concern.

@ECBG

It sounds as if you are managing this time of pain/swelling the best way possible.

Hopefully Monday the professionals will contact you to set up visiting times!

It is good to hear the swelling went down and alleviated the pain.  I am sure the physical therapy will help and you will feel better soon. Take care.

@ECBG

When I was sick it helped me to learn about other's symptoms and what made them feel better.

When my heart issues revealed themselves my major symptom was edema. While I didn't have pain, the water weight prevented me from breathing when I lay down, so I had to sleep in a sitting position. All told it was about 15-20 lbs in water weight.

Initially, the diuretics took 3-4 days to eliminate all that water and weight. So, it may take until the weekend to be completely back to normal.

I am sending you best wishes. You can get through this!

@ECBG in the meantime have your husband go and rent a potty chair to put next to your bed or couch so you can do that easier.

Hope all goes well with your PT @ECBG.  I finished my therapy last month.My therapist was great with trying to tailor my exercises to adjust to my issues.  We finally stopped treatments when they were bothering the nerves in my lower back.  She gave me a great list of exercises I can do at home to keep my core strong.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.
